Singapore authorities have entered strict laws against contraband of cigarettes. Since January, 1st, 2009, any being in the country cigarette should have special marks SDPC (Singapore Duty-Paid Cigarettes) on the filter. Owners of the cigarettes, which are not having such marks, will be fined for 500 Singapore dollars ($345) for a pack.
