Passengers’ luggage will be marked with chips
Technical innovations are being actively introduced at London Heathrow airport. This time the British company BBA, engaged in management of the airports, has decided to mark travelers bags with special radio-chips.
Now both the passenger, and workers of the airport, and representatives of security services can constantly trace, where there is a luggage and to whom it belongs. Tourists will receive necessary information on arrival of the luggage through sms-messages.
The project will manage to the airport approximately in 300 thousand dollars, and authorities expect to trace about 50 thousand bags every month by means of new system. Work of the airport should become noticeably more effectively, and the quantity of the lost bags and suitcases - to be reduced to a minimum.
In 2006 became such large British airline, as British Airways, became the leader on loss of luggage. The statistics of Association of the European airlines approves, that in 2006 on every 1000 air passengers at British Airways have had 23 cases of luggage loss. Representatives of the company do not deny AEA’s data.

Season of straw wine manufacture has begun in Czech Republic
In spite of the fact that even it is still February now, many wine makers of Moravian region should work. They do straw wine In the middle of winter - one of the most expensive wines, made in Czech. Grapes lay on straw for four long months. For this time it has finally dried up and now only the best - glucose- is kept in only the best - glucose. Saudi enamored are forbidden to give roses
As local newspaper Saudi Gazette informs, police of Saudi Arabia has forbidden trade in red roses and other goods, which are often given on the eve of the Valentine’s Day. Observers of the Islamic order in this country officially ordered to withdraw from sale of flowers and gift packing.
According to the newspaper, the prices for roses in “the black market” have already jumped up. Authorities consider that celebration of the Valentine’s Day and other not Muslim holidays is a sin.
St. Valentine’s day, the day, when in many countries enamored give each other gifts, is considered as additional occasion for illegitimate attitudes, that is regarded as immorality in Saudi Arabia.
As Saudi Gazette writes, some Saudi people have placed orders in flower shops for many days and even weeks till holiday in order to be out of suspicions.
The secret flower deliverer says that sometimes they deliver bouquets in the middle of night or early in the morning if only not to get under suspicion.

Transport system of China is restored after snowfalls
Agency Sinhua, referring to the ministry of public safety of China, informs that transport system of the central, east and southern China, paralyzed because of strong snowfalls, is basically restored, and movement on high-speed highways, except for separate areas, is normalized.
The strongest for last 50 years snowfalls in 19 provinces of the Peoples Republic of China has seriously complicated movement of all types of transport. Almost 80 people suffered from the weather anomaly. The bad weather has led to hold-ups of power supply and heat, to losses in rural and forestry, accidents in thousand shabby constructions. The economic damage has made about 80 billion yuans (more than 11 billion dollars).
The revelry of the elements, which have been concurrent with mass crossings of people during the Holiday of Spring - the Chinese New Year on a lunar calendar, has not allowed many inhabitants of China to reach native places and to visit their relatives.
The peak of mass moving of people across the country has begun since Sunday. About 200 million of transit workers will come back to cities.
As a whole, Chinese mass-media inform that today all transport systems worked normally.

Town of Flowers in Tunis
Information on creation of the most scale building project for all history of Africa in Tunis has been recently disclosed.
Bled El Ward (Town of Flowers), settling down on 5000 hectares, will be constructed by Sourouh Real Estate SOR.AD and Aldar Properties ALDR.AD.
As the operating director Al Maabar International Investments has told, that their company is going to construct the greatest housing project in Africa. As it has become known, the town, which is being constructed in the north of Tunis City, is estimated in 10 billion dollars.
Objects of a tourist infrastructure, office and residential buildings contain are among planned to construction objects. Realization of the project will take at least 20 years.
First of all, for five years, it is planned to build a series from 1200 apartment houses. Realization of the project will create 6 thousand new workplaces. Tunis is the most actively struggling for investments African state.

Uruguay will entice tourists with discounts and privileges
Uruguay is measured to attract more tourists by means of various privileges and discounts. The ministry of tourism of Uruguay will offer free of charge up to 20 liters of gasoline, supper for two and excursions with guides for local and foreign tourists, who will be registered in any hotel of the country in second half of February, when the inflow of tourists to this country falls down.
In yesterday’s applications the minister of tourism, Héctor Lascano, has declared. Besides, tourists, who have already visited Uruguay and will return during a dead season, can take advantage of the discounts system, approved by the Ministry with private operators of the country.
Héctor Lascano has added that the government will also start promotion of the local travel agencies offering rounds to Uruguay and has reminded of importance of development of tourism.
While there are no data about tourist movement during a carnival for the period of which days off are being declared in the country, but their prospect is positive and Lascano has assured, that activity has essentially risen in east zone - in Punta del Este, San Carlos and Piriápolis.
for first fifteen days of January the general inflow of foreign tourists to Uruguay has grown on 17 % concerning the same period of 2007, the country has accepted 68 425 visitors only in the first week of the year.

New superfast train in France
French company Alstorm has presented the new train AGV, capable to get the speed up to 360 kilometers per hour. On novelty of technical decisions and importance of a novelty for railway branch AGV may be compared to well-known airbus A380.
AGV is calculated on overcoming of distance in one thousand kilometers for three hours per real operation on lines. Alstom Executive director has named this achievement “the new stage in a competition to airlines”.
AGV has no division into pulling all structure locomotive and carriages without engines. Instead of it electro motors AGV are in regular intervals distributed along all train. They are under each car and in wheel carriages.
All this has allowed increasing the space, given to passengers, on 20%. Except for that AGV spends on 30 % less electric power, than TGV, which became habitual train for France. Depending on interiors design and the general length of structure AGV can have to accept from 250 up to 650 passengers. On tests in April, 2007, engines and elements of running part AGV have dispersed train TGV up to 574 kilometers per hour and usual TGV speed makes only 320 kilometers per hour.
25 AGV trains are already ordered by Italian railway company Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori and will be introduced in Italy in 2011.

Company Air New Zealand is going to change radically service of passengers by introduction of innovative service International Airline Concierge Service.
Ed Sims, Group General Manager at Air New Zealand, has declared that the air carrier will employ about 90 employees, whose duties, as special service, will rely in organization of passengers’ trip during and after the flights.
Mr. Sims has also noted, that he did not hear about practice of offering similar services by any other airline of the world and, that the given service will allow Air New Zealand favorably to differ from the competitors.
Mr. Sims speaks that International Airline Concierge Service will be a combination of services of the travel-adviser, the expert in the field of various bonus programs and special offers, and also the expert in particular tourist direction, whose problem will be support of each of our clients.
Problems of the given experts can include, for example, passengers’ support to gangway of the plane, the recommendation to tourists in occasion of preferable excursions, assistance in booking hotels, rounds, transfer, support of passengers in case of flights’ delays owing to non-flying weather, consultation in the field of accumulation and use of bonus miles or assistance in tasting and choice of vines onboard.
New service will be introduced, since April, 2008, first of all, on the international flights from Oakland to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver and Hong Kong.

Asia is paradise for shopping
In a rating of the greatest shopping centers of the world, made by Forbes, Asian shops are holding leading positions. The first place in the list is given to South China Mall from the Chinese city of Dunguan. Its total area is more than 650 thousand square meters. The territory South China Mall, besides set of shops, is really huge and it also possesses parks, windmills and even an exact copy of the Triumphal arch.
The second place in a rating is given to Peking mega-mall Golden Resources, which occupies 500 000 square meters territory. More than 1000 shops are located on the five levels of this center. Golden Resources Mall has one small lack- it is located on the suburbs of city.
Pride of Philippines - Mall of Asia, being the city of Pasay (suburb of Manila), takes the third place in the list. Here the pool of the Olympic size and first cinema IMAX in the country are located. The trading complex occupies four buildings with a total area in 390 thousand square meters. Special small trams are transporting buyers from one part of the Mall to another one.
The fourth line in a rating is borrowed with shopping center Cevahir in Istanbul. It occupies the territory in 350 000 square meters. Besides shops, it has also some cinemas IMAX, attractions and pool with artificial waves. Canadian West Edmonton Mall, taking the fifth place, is well-known for the aqua park, more than 800 shops, attractions and casino.
