According to International Meetings Statistics data, Singapore became one of the most popular in the world of places for the organization of business meetings and business dealing.
Such popularity of Singapore is, first of all, connected with development of high technologies - conference halls and business centers of Singapore are equipped with all necessary ultramodern equipment. Besides, the city can brag fine climate and well developed hotel infrastructure: 28 % of travelers come to Singapore for business trips, and in 2006 the city became a place of carrying out of more than 300 major meetings. The second and the third places have been given to Paris and Vein.

Cow Parade in Rio de Janeiro

The world’s largest open-air art-festival Cow Parade has begun in Rio de Janeiro. The plastic cows painted under sketches more of 100 Brazilian artists, have settled down on quays of world famous beaches, in streets and the areas of the city. It is possible to meet participants of competition in airports’ terminals, railway stations and underground stations. In spite of the fact that population of Rio is spoilt by different sort by cultural actions, cows parade has already caused the liveliest interest of local residents and tourists, who are willingly photograph on their background.
According to organizers of festival, which will be prolonged till November, 26th, “Cow parade” - is the largest and playful open-air exhibition in the world. Themes of the plots, represented on the cow sides, amaze with their great variety.
For the first time charitable “Cow parade” has passed in 1998 in Zurich. In total more than 30 cities of the world participated in the project.
After end of actions exhibits are being sold out from auction, and the obtained money go on the charitable purposes. During existence of the project organizers have already managed to gain more than 11 million US dollars.

Argentina advances golf-tourism

It looks like Argentina can brag of real British quality golf.
All over the world the golf is a parameter not only of skills to spend time beautifully, but also a level of development of the country. The golf is an ancient game and very fascinating pastime for many people all over the world. Now golf becomes more and more popular in Argentina.
Argentina, which is actively propagandizing such interesting kind of tourism as golf, has offered the new program, is to offer magnificent golf courts for foreign tourists. Argentina is measured to prove the competitiveness to another 25 countries, which have for a long time offered such kind of tourism. These are the USA, Southern Africa, Canada and some European countries. The country possesses sufficient potential for development of quite expensive kind of tourism. Owing to its features of a climate, golf fans can enjoy game practically all the year round. The program is named as Golf Super Fam Tour 2007 and will be realized from October, 21 till October, 27th.
The International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) will take part in this program. Thus, as Susan Marples, the coordinator of this project in the Ministry of Tourism of Argentina, has informed, this cooperation will improve commercial communications of the country and will help it to create positive image in the international context.
As the coordinator of the project has informed, now interest to golf grows all over the world and golfers, who, besides, are tourists as it is their favorite kind of tourism, search for new places for this pastime. Argentina offers such opportunity as it has already got good golf courts and the prices will not be high.

Disney will construct a resort for family rest on Hawaii

Last Wednesday company Walt Disney Park and Resorts has declared about its plans on purchase of 8,4 hectares on Hawaiian islands Oahu with the purpose of construction of a multipurpose resort of premium class  for family rest.
The area is located at the western coast of island, in picturesque resort zone Ko Olina Resort and Marina - one of the most visited Honolulu’s areas. The new project becomes the first resort for Disney, as it is not a part of their well-known parks of entertainments. After the end of construction, which is planned for 2011, on island Oahu there will be 800 units of the real estate, including hotel rooms and country houses for Disney Vacation Club members. This resort will give Disney’s clients an opportunity to look on the other hand on this delightful corner of the world together with a brand to which they trust.

The republic of South Africa: welcome to the swimming pool with crocodiles

The well-known park of wild animals Cango Wildlife Ranch (republic of South Africa) offers tourists to swim in pool with three-meter crocodiles. The visitors, wishing to communicate to reptiles closer, are being put into the special cell in which they stay for ten minutes. The price of this attraction makes $40.
On farm Cango Wildlife Ranch tourists can observe not only crocodiles, but also snakes, birds, tigers: in particular, the park is known for two Bengalese tigers. An attraction with crocodiles -is not unique extreme entertainment in a zoo: visitors can come also into an open-air cage with cheetahs, certainly, at presence of the farm’s employee.

10 countries for economy rest (Part 1)

Home and Away Magazine has published 10 places, where the rest will not manage to you expensive. Air flight will be the main clause of the charge in offered variants of travel, but presence of budgetary air carriers can solve even this problem.
1. Bali - the part of Indonesia- is accepting millions of tourists annually that is quite explainable: besides architectural and natural beauty, this place with magnificent hotels and spa-resorts is in several times cheaper, than the European hotels of a similar level.
2. Laos is one of the most economic variants of travel to South Asia. This country has started to develop tourism more recently and, consequently, prices here are not high. French colonial architecture harmoniously adjoins in Laos with numerous temples, and walk on the Mekong River will leave unforgettable impressions.

Bomb blast in the Maldives

The bomb has exploded near the entrance in the overflown park of rest on Maldives. 12 foreign tourists were injured.
Incident has occurred on Saturday, on September, 29th, near the entrance to the “Sultan Park” in capital of the country Male.  8 citizens of China, 2 Englishmen and 2 Japanese are among the victims. According to the Tourism Minister Mahamood Shaugee, injured people have received serious wounds.
Police representative Mohammed Sharif has told that Maldives never knew anything similar before and they take it very seriously because tourism is a basis of their life.
He also has added that during explosion the park has been overflown with tourists and local residents, having a rest during Ramadan - sacred month for Moslems.
Sharif has emphasized that tourists are still in the state of a shock, and the police has not interrogated them yet.
The police have started investigation. The government is measured to address for the help in the Interpol, United States and India.
Motives of a crime are still unknown. Tourism brings more than thirds of incomes into Maldives’ treasury - the tiny country, consisting of hundreds atolls. Every year about 600 thousand tourists visit Maldives islands.
