The new magnificent hotel opens in Bangkok

On November, 1st the new five-star hotel of hotel network Millennium, which will settle down in the street Asoke, in thirty minutes of driving from new international airport Suvarnabhumi, will be opened in the center of Bangkok.
Millennium Sukhumvit Bangkok will offer 325 room-numbers, including 14 standard and one presidential suite. In network owners’ opinion, very soon the travelers will more often come to Thailand with business visits. Therefore, the lodgers will be offered such services as: personal electronic safe, high-speed Internet, satellite TV, and also specially equipped business center and a banquet hall of 350 persons spaciousness.
As the Center on development of tourism of Thailand informs, lodgers can visit  Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Indian, the Chinese and Thai restaurants with national kitchen; the spa-center, swimming-pool, a golf-club and fitness-center. From the date of opening and till December, 31st the hotel will offer special prices for accommodation: from $140 up to $216 for the night.

Park Hyatt Milan starts the program under name Very Important Dog within the limits of which the hotel offers comfortable conditions of residing not only to the visitors, but also their adored pets.
In October Park Hyatt Milan has started the new program for the lodgers’ pets - dogs. For whom it not simply animal, but for others it is a member of family/ So now dogs owners  will not worry about destiny of their pet before holiday or the next business trip. Why doesn’t dog also replace conditions and not travel together with the owner?

The country of bright contrasts

Colombia became a tourist route of a new millennium. Hundred thousand tourists from all over the world have for a long time chosen traveling to the country of fantastic riches. In 2007 Bogota, Cartagena and Medellin became Mainstreams for foreign visitors. 40,9 % from the general number of tourists have come from Latin America and from the far abroad inflow of visitors increases. So, within the first 9 months of current year arrival of foreign tourists in the country only by air has increased on 14,2 %. From January till October 780 891 person have visited the country. The same parameter for the similar period of 2006 has made 684 089 people. For minister of Trade, the industry and tourism these figures grow out the transformations, allowed to change a sight at Colombia as on the dangerous country.
Every day all of more people get acquainted with beauty of Colombia, its cultural variety, advantages and kindliness. It is consequence of persistent work of the government concerning safety of democracy, employment, an infrastructure, growth and legal stability for investors, minister considers. The purpose of the ministry to accept 4 million tourists by 2010 seems not so such fantastic, as several years ago. According to statistics of Service of economic researches of the ministry and department of administrative safety (DAS), 86 877 foreigners visited Colombia within September, having increased last year’s parameter on 8,75 %.

British hotels’ stuff learn to cope with naked sleepwalkers

Sharp increase in quantity of sleepwalkers, who perambulate in public places in a dream practically naked, has compelled a network of the British hotels to provide special trainings of the staff in order that the hotel personnel could cope with naked sleepwalkers.
According to British hotel network Travelodge, into which about 300 hotels of a business class enters, the quantity of sleepwalkers has grown seven times within the last year, thus 95 % of them perambulate in a dream naked, that often frightens both employees of hotels staff and their lodgers.
Leigh McCarron, hotel network director, has told that they observe sharp increase of quantity of similar cases for the last few years, therefore it is very important, that the stuff knew how to help the sleepwalker.
Especially in these purposes hotels’ management has published so-called sleepwalkers’ guidebook. In it in one of items it is spoken, that the stuff should always have a towel if it would be necessary to cover sleepwalker’s naked body.
As it has become known, Travelodge’s receptionists will not be surprised any more, if somebody from naked visitors will come with questions like, if there are any newspapers? According to scientists’ researches, lunacy can be caused by stresses, alcohol, consumption too much caffeine or even cheese.

Emirates Marina Hotel and Residence - new magnificent hotel in Dubai

Emirates Hotels and Resorts - the division of airline Emirates - prepares for opening new smart hotel. 59-storeyed Emirates Marina Hotel and Residence is constructed in the most luxurious area of Dubai, near to the cores commercial center of the cities: Dubai Media City and Internet City. Nearby to hotel there is a set of entertaining complexes, restaurants, cafe and shops. The transfer up to large shopping centers and the most popular beach of Dubai - Jumeirah Beach - will be given to visitors of the complex.
The hotel enters in ten the highest buildings of Dubai; its height makes 256 meters. The complex consists of more than two hundred numbers and apartments of various configurations. The hotel will offer three restaurants. Improving center Emirates Hotels and Resorts Timeless Spa, borrowing almost a whole floor, will offer tourists set of spa-procedures.
The hotel will be opened on November, 1st, 2007 and it will become the second in a series of new projects of division Emirates Hotels and Resorts. In authoritative tourist edition Conde Nast Traveler opinion, the first one - Emirates Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa – is a resort, entering into the list of 20 best hotels.

Passengers’ weight threatens safety of flights

Scandinavian airline SAS warns that the out-of-date data about passengers’ weight threaten safety of flights.
Officials from aircraft proceed in the specifications of safety from the out-of-date ideal of harmony. In the letter, addressed to the Danish department of passenger transportations, SAS emphasizes that therefore the weight of the filled plane appears more settlement. It is reflected in consumption of fuel, length of a way of dispersal and braking of the plane, and also on stability of the machine in flight.
Last time the average weight of the male passenger together with outer clothing and hand luggage was defined 10 years ago. It has made 88 kilograms. The woman should weight 70 kilograms. However, control weightings, which has lead SAS, have shown, that on the average the weight of passengers has increased on 3 kilograms for this time. Besides, passengers carry more and more hand luggage.
Heavier plane spends more fuel and require longer runway. SAS vice-president has told that from the safety point of view it is simply inadmissible, that the difference between normative and actual weight of the plane exceeded one ton.
Now in order to obtain real data about the today’s travelers SAS is planning to weigh 20 thousand passengers. SAS hopes, that other European airlines will follow its example.

Flying BMW will be on sale in 2009

Recently the automobile companies feel strong competition, in the area, in which they have got used to work. Having saved up invaluable experience for many years, design studios of the leading automobile companies start “to rise in the sky”, developing design for planes. BMW is one of such companies. Recently its representatives have declared about the new project.
By an example of known Italian company Pininfarina, before engaged only in cars design, and now creating exclusive interiors for planes, company BMW Group has declared, that its design-studio DisignWorksUSA, located in Los Angeles, will continue the successfully begun activity in planes style development.
According to last application, BMW will cooperate with Brazilian aircraft constructing company Embraer for which passengers, it will create planes interior design. Can you imagine, what beautiful and stylish these planes present will be? It is possible to not doubt, that DisignWorksUSA will superb cope with a task in view as it has already proved as professional in this area, having created two successful conceptual designs for modern planes.
Interior design from BMW will be created for Mediterranean planes Phenom 100 and Phenom 300. As it has become known, in interior the kitchen, a lavatory will be completely altered, and the cabin will be executed in lounge style, with very low seats and with addition of some hi-tech details - harmonious tables, adjustment of illumination and many other things. It will be possible to see the result of two companies’ work in 2009.

Pentax for underwater photohunting

Company Pentax has represented a camera for fans of the “beach” rest, capable to work under water. Unlike the previous models of a series “W” Optio W30 novelty is capable to function on depth up to three meters within two hours. The case of a camera is made of an easy and strong metal alloy, and the lens of an objective is covered by the special water-repellent covering Super Protect, developed by Pentax, owing to which drops of water do not leave traces on optics. The novelty has no external mobile parts and is protected from influences of dirt and a dust (JIS 5).
The camera 7-megapicsel matrix and a 3-fold not sliding optical zoom-objective and 2,5 inches LCD-monitor with a special covering, allowing to work  comfortably with it even at a bright sunlight. Owing to the digital stabilization image mode (Digital SR) Optio W30 can automatically analyze terms of shooting and pick up optimum parameters of sensitivity (up to 3200 ISO) and also to smooth digital noise. Besides, standard modes of shooting model Optio W30 has interval shooting function. Time of switching on and an interval between the film-making moments is set manually.
Interval shooting is limited only by the accumulator resource, and the chamber will prompt, how many photos it will be possible to take. The chamber function of auto focusing with a priority of sharpness of the person is stipulated for portraits shooting. The device independently distinguishes faces of people and automatically arranges focus and corrects an exposition without dependence from position of people within the limits of the photo and background contrast.

La Semaine du gout in France

La Semaine du gout is being held in France. La Semaine du gout (The national tasting week) is a holiday which is being celebrated for already the 18th time. All regions of the country participate in it. The program of the holiday is quite intensive and interesting at the same time, it includes lectures, master-classes known the chief-cooks, competitions among masters of culinary art, and the main thing - the special menu at many restaurants of Paris, Lyons, Marseilles, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lylle, Rennes, Nantes, Rouen, Strasbourg, and also other cities.
Visitors of restaurants can not only estimate skill of cooks, but also, at desire, visit the lesson of taste, where professionals will learn them to make the refined menus. Some traditional dishes not only wonder with their delicious taste, but have also strange names, for example: andouillette, tête de veau, andouille, tripe, foie gras, fromage de tête, museau.
