Tourists will be protected from terrorists

Moscow authorities are taking measures in order to protect tourists not only against hooligans and thieves, but also from terrorists, from representatives of radical youth currents and even from flooding and landslips.
Recently city authorities have approved the concept of safety increase and antiterrorist security.
Capital hotels and their lodgers are threatened theoretically with set of dangers - terrorist, criminal, technogenic and natural - not only “habitual” fires and robberies. It is possible to prove that in opinion of experts, hotels of Moscow need to be preserved also against participants of radical political groups, which can get into a building to scatter from its roof provocative leaflets.
Serious threat is represented with terrorists, who in addition, can spray radioactive substances through ventilation or poison water in a hotel water pipe.
The hotels will be protected from all misfortunes by strengthening protection of buildings and establishing systems of video observation and video recording, the air-gas environment control, explosives detectors, the disturbing signal system and other automatics. And than more briskly the hotel is, the higher the building is, the more rigid measure of protection should be.
In general the quantity of the “protective” equipment depends on set of nuances. The hotels, accepting vip-persons, should be equipped on the maximum class. Hotels, where lodgers “eliminate” to professional, age or other attribute - for example, departmental hotels are considered as not too “dangerous”. And if the solid part of hotel is occupied with offices or it is used not to destination - their owners may save on protection and automatics.

Dubai Police’s Tourist Security Department has been created in Dubai

Police of Dubai has created specialized police department, which will be exclusively engaged in protection of tourists in the United Arab Emirates.
The basic purpose of creation of Dubai Police’s Tourist Security Department (TSD) relies in comprehensive support of the foreigners, who have arrived to the United Arab Emirates on rest and faced problems in the unknown another’s country. At occurrence of unforeseen or inconvenient situations, tourists can contact new division of police on the free-of-charge line 800 4438 working round the clock. 
TSD workers will give a maximum quantity of the help in the minimal terms to the tourist; in fact each minute of carefree holiday is precious.

Gays and lesbians have subdued Amsterdam

Last Saturday in capital of the Netherlands - the city of permissiveness Amsterdam parade of sexual minority has passed.

Fireworks competition in Monaco

One of the most prestigious and entertainment competitions will be held on bridge Hercule in Monaco. On August, 10th and 22 at 22:00 the sky will be lighted with unprecedented figures from dancing fires. Enchanting show passes in Monaco annually in the end of July - the beginning of August. And this year the competition offers unforgettable impressions to its spectators. New pyrotechnics inventions are always kept in secret. And this time they will admire again and again both young and adult fans. As it has become known celebrities from all over the work will come to see the fireworks show. This year four countries take part in this competition: Germany, France, Russia and Hong Kong. The best pyrotechnic teams from Russia will present the fiery bouquets on August, 10th. With a view of safety Local authorities recommend spectators and participants to be extremely cautious at competitions. One of the accidents has already taken place in 2001 during a holiday in the Spanish resort small town Elchi - more than 160 careless gapers have burned from the petards, which have fallen down from the sky.

Cambodia leases the islands

Cambodia leases 5 tourist islands for 627 million dollars. New tourist strategy of Cambodia, which has agreed to lease 5 islands in the Thai gulf to the local and foreign investors, is those, planning to construct tourist centers there.
Trade minister of Cambodia has mentioned that these projects will be a magnet for tourism and these will be the natural centers, which are so popular among foreign tourists. Being also the vice-president of Cambodia development council, the trade minister has assured, that 6 Cambodian companies have already signed contracts on long rent of islands and they will have a year for presenting detailed plans on these complexes.
Last year Cambodia has accepted 1,7 million tourists. Nevertheless, the majority came to admire Angkor Wat - an ancient 800-year-old temple. Therefore the government wishes to expand specialization of entrance tourism and to involve fans of beach rest.
In September, 2006, the group of the Russian investors has received permission for construction of tourist center in cost of 300 million dollars on Koh Pos or la isla de la Serpiente in the Thai gulf. Now, it is a question of time, whether the foreign companies will expand the presence in the market of the tourist real estate in Southeast Asia after promulgation of new plans of the Cambodian government on development of islands.
