Monument to the prostitute in Riga

In the context of social campaign “STOP sex-terrorism!” the symbolical monument to the fallen girl entering thoughtless communications for one night has been opened in the center of Riga.
The representative of advertising agency “Alfa Centrs” has explained that the purpose of the action -is to draw attention of young girls and to warn them against chaotic sex, in fact it makes negative impression about Latvia abroad, and the part of tourists comes here only in searches of very young girls, instead of for admiring monuments of culture. Meanwhile, according to statistics, since 2004the number of tourists has grown on 53 % in Latvia.
The symbolical monument represents campaign’s trade mark: the image of opened mouth with the text “Sex? Terrorism”, cards of Latvia on a background of night city and the inscription “factory” and half-naked girls in bikini.
Social campaign “STOP sex-terrorism!” proceeded in Latvia for more than a month. In the context of this program organizers (public organization “Re!Action” in cooperation with “Alfa Centrs”) tried to dispel opinion that Riga - is a place of cheap night amusements with readily available sex-services.
Except for accommodation of the outdoor advertising, discussions on TV and in press on a theme of struggle about sex-tourism and spot-checks in Old Riga, during which participants of the action distributed visual materials of campaign, have been carried out.

Alcohol will be forbidden and limited in 80 countries of the world

Now the tourists should properly consider local laws and traditions on travel. Two reasons even more often lead to serious, at times to tragic incidents with tourists - ignorance of national features and the false feeling of permissiveness, arising on rest far from the house.
For example first reason has been implemented in the arrest of the Swiss, who has received 10 years of prison in Thailand for the insult of king serves. The recent death of the 17-year-old tourist from Denmark, who died on July, 13th, from drunkenness on a resort in Bulgaria, has reminded of the second reason.
It appears, approximately two thirds of population of the Earth in general conduct a sober way of life. About 600 people and nationalities of the planet do not drink, do not smoke and do not use drugs by virtue of their traditions, cultural and religious values. Accordingly, the drinking or smoking foreigner irritates them.
In many countries abusing binge or smoking can cause various kinds of administrative or criminal punishment.
The countries, where the use of alcohol is forbidden or limited:
Albania, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Benin, Brunei, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Butane, East Timor, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Djibouti, Egypt, Zambia, Western Sahara, Zimbabwe, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Iceland, Yemen, Cambodia, Cameroon, Qatar, Kenya, China, Comoro islands, Kuwait, Laos, Lesotho, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritius, Mauritania, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Mali, Maldives, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Norway, the Incorporated Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Swaziland, Seychelles, Senegal, Singapore, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Thailand, Tanzania, That, Tunis, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uganda, Finland, Central African republic, Chad, Sweden, Sri Lanka, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia.
Religions, religious beliefs and the doctrines condemning alcohol:
Islam (it is more 1 billion adherents); Sunnis (850 million people); Indusium (793 million people); Buddhism (500 million people) etc.
Travelers should remember, what even in the countries, where the “cultural” and moderate use of spirits is not considered reprehensible, the society all the same imposes restrictions on many things - drinking of alcohol in public places and in the street, driving transport in a state of intoxication, the minimal age for purchase and the uses of spirits and many other things.
The use, storage and distribution of narcotic substances not in the medical purposes, in overwhelming majority of the states is regarded as law infringement.
