Smoking is to be forbidden in Dubai

Since May, 31st smoking in public places will be forbidden in Dubai and the penalty will be imposed on infringers.
After coming into force of an interdiction, young people under 21 years old will be forbidden to enter public areas for smoking and, in general, smoking will be allowed only in the special zones, intended for smoking. Process of adaptation to an interdiction will be carried out into three stages.
Since May, 31st, 2007, the law will come into force in state institutions and public places. Since September, 15th, 2007, action of an interdiction will extend on schools, educational establishments, hairdresser’s interiors, sports clubs, the Internet-cafe, food-courts and offices. And since November, 15th, 2007, the interdiction on smoking in all public catering establishments and cinemas will be entered.
Only the trading and entertaining centers will have specially equipped zones for smoking.

India has closed air space for Russian planes

Recent Russian-Indian conflict has shocked all aircraft market. Now Russian tourists and businessmen will face certain difficulties in flying to India. The matter is that India has closed the air space for the Russian planes. The corresponding application has been made by the ministry of civil aircraft of Russia.
As Indian aircraft representatives inform, the decision on closing air space was accepted after Russia has informed India that after June, 15th, the Indian planes will be forbidden to cross the Russian air space.
Thus it is necessary to consider, that if Moscow has beforehand warned Delhi about the termination of flights the Indian authorities have declared, that their decision inures immediately.
Any comments from the Russian party in occasion of the developed situation have not been given.
Russia’s decision of to block the air space for the Indian planes is connected by the fact that the term of the previous arrangements on the given question expires in the nearest future, and the date of negotiations on prolongation of agreements has not been appointed yet.

Carlson Hotels are planning to get rid of transgenic fats, used in cooking, in the majority of the hotels by the end of 2007.
This innovation will concern such hotels and resorts as Radisson, Park Plaza, all Country Inn and Suites By Carlson hotels, and Park Inn hotels in the United States, Canada, on the Caribbean islands and in South America.
Everyone knows that transgenic fats are unhealthy. According to the American Cardio logical Association, gene-modified and partially hydrogenated fats increase the risk of heart diseases, insults and diabetes.
As the president Carlson Hotels Worldwide-The Americas has explained they care of their visitors and are aimed at granting of healthy offers where they would not be: at our restaurants, room-numbers and even on athletic fields. It was also mentioned that the opportunity to eat healthy food should be accessible everywhere: at home, on business trip, on the resort.
Hardly earlier (in the beginning of 2007) testing of the project, with the purpose to be convinced of that that replacement will not cause change of taste, quality or a consistence of dishes was held.
Resort Radisson Fort McDowell in Scottdale, Arizona, has got rid of transgenic fats in October, 2006 and participated in the pilot project on search of accessible alternatives.
In the opinion of the executive director of Radisson Fort McDowell Resort hotel service has fallen outside the frames of room-numbers and their lodgers enjoy healthy dishes, and they are grateful for their health care.

Dark side of “All inclusive” service (Part 2)

It is not a secret, that hotels with all inclusive system are focused first of all on the Russian market. Of course, it is possible to meet European tourist in such hotels, but a great bulk - these are nevertheless Russians. Such system often attracts tourists not so much with free-of-charge meal, how with a lot of “free” binge. As a result - the hotel is flooded with brawlers and drunkards - the rest turns into a noisy eternal holiday. Here it is possible to forget about a quiet dream - drunk squeals and cries will sound even in the middle of the night. As a result you will arrive home with the upset nerves and hatred to neighbors.
By the way, some word about the beach - in the afternoon fans to drink choose it as the basic field for their “feats”, taking into consideration the fact that bars with “free” beer and wine are frequently situated on the beach. As a result, instead of tanning, the teetotal tourist will listen to drunk mutter of neighbors generously poured by obscene lexicon on a chaise lounge or to listen to their national songs.
However a problem is not only in this. As a rule, tourists with the familiarity corrupt the personnel, and in a year instead of a polite greeting from the personnel it is possible to hear “Greetings-that-will?”.
What for should such hotels do their best?..
The level of service falls even at restaurants. To involve more tourists, hotels open more and more restaurants. And though the subjects of these places of a feed can be different - restaurants of Mediterranean, African or European kitchen, sea or grill-bars - their filling frequently differs a little. And often choice of dishes appears poor enough and only at the central restaurant of hotel abundance is observed. And quality of meal is not always high. And to it there is a reason - if the Italian begins to find the cook for incorrectly welded spaghettis, Spaniards will refuse from the spoiled paella, tourists, occupying all inclusive hotels, will eat everything - in fact the main thing that restaurants was five. So what for should the cooks try to do their best?
And one more, is natural, that with system “all inclusive” tourists eat in territory of hotel.
However, very few people reflect on how local small restaurants and taverns suffer from this. And in fact they are the real picturesque carriers of culture and national features of the host country.

Dark side of “All inclusive” service (Part 1)

We have got used to the all inclusive hotel system and regard it as a guarantee of paradise rest. In fact having paid the permit still at home, you forget about money during the period of rest - feed, residing and different bonuses are already included into the price. You lay on a beach, you go to restaurants and thus you do not care about money. This system is so popular, that turns to a favorable source of earnings worldwide. Soon not only Turkey, Egypt and Tunis, but also the majority of hotels of Greece and Bulgaria will pass on all inclusive. Is it so bad? This system has a lot of minuses enough.
Territorial addiction
First of all, the tourist appears adhered to the territory of hotel - in fact you have already paid for everything. The day at all inclusive hotel looks approximately so: breakfast, beach, dinner and rest in number, beach and supper. At desire such mode is diluted with procedures in beauty salons or sports halls.
Having got into other country, the tourist does not see any local color or special exotic - in fact they are behind side scenes, which are behind a gate of hotel, and to leave hotel is not so desirable.
in some all inclusive hotels the tourist faces some disadvantages because of suspiciousness of the stuff. Some unduly resourceful tourists have also thought up their lodgers to lead to on visiting friends from… next hotel, where the feed is paid. They also invite to the restaurant during lunch time. Calculation is simple - there are too many people in the hotel, so, waiters will not remember each lodger. Such variant of “free-of-charge dinner” became so popular, that has turned into disaster for hotels. In order to protect from additional “mouths” (who for some reason appear rather gluttonous - capable to absorb a significant part of stocks at restaurant) emergency control measures have been introduced. Waiters look narrowly at tourists especially steadfastly and you can even demand proofs, that you are their genius lodger. Nevertheless, dinner under such supervision is not very pleasant.

Singapore Airlines offer the discount for flights to Dubai

Singapore Airlines have introduced a special offer for flights from Moscow to Dubai. However the only condition for this tariff is that the discount for the single tourist will not be given, so, at least two people should apply for the concession. The minimal term of stay is not limited, maximal - is 14 days. The tariff has been introduced on the occasion of the 60 anniversary of airline and will be valid till June, 30th.

In 2007 the world will be overflowed with storms and hurricanes

In 2007 the American scientists predict up to 17 tropical storms and hurricanes. The experts from the State University of state of Colorado and the company on studying weather and climate AccuWeather Inc approve that the probability of that even one of them will reach territory of the USA, is “much more above average”.
In their opinion, this year the world is threatened, at least, with 9 tropical storms and 5 large hurricanes.
Annually the USA suffers from some hurricanes, tornados and tropical storms. Every year in the United States from on the average nearby 70 people perish from the consequences of a tornado. Last hurricane in Kansas has taken away lives of 10 people and almost has entirely destroyed the town of Greensberg, Kansas.
Hurricane Katrina has fallen upon the American coast in September 2005 and has become one of the most terrible accidents of natural character in history of the USA. The number of victims of elements has made more than 1,5 thousand people.
Not only hurricanes and storms are capable to cause enormous damage and to lead to human victims. Forest fires also bear considerable threat. So, in American state Florida inhabitants of 200 houses are evacuated because of forest fire. Authorities of state of Georgia are also going to evacuate inhabitants of the territories adjoining on Florida.
In Florida the state of emergency is declared - after the total area of natural fires on border of two staffs has reached 52,6 thousand hectares. Distribution of fire is caused by a strong wind and droughty weather. Nevertheless, messages on victims have not come yet.

Tourist center of nudism for white only

In the nearest future new center of nudism will be opened in the republic of South Africa.
The leader of South-African nudists’ movement Bo Brummel has decided to base a nudist colony only for white in Orania - the only thing in Southern Africa settlement, where exclusively white inhabitants live.
In 3 weeks Bo Brummel plans to lodge this small town together with the adherents on one of farms. In the long term (till 2009-2010), when the World championship on football will be held in the republic of South Africa, attractive to foreign tourists nudist the resort will be created.
However this idea causes not only enthusiasm among local residents. In spite of the fact that historically only the white population lives in small town, they would not like to give again an occasion for charges in a racial discrimination.
