Tourist kleptomania
According to the researches, published by Caterer and Hotelkeeper magazine, more often tourists steal towels from hotels - 32 % have complained of plunders of bathroom accessories from approximately thousand interrogated owners of hotels. Besides, hotels constantly miss dressing gownes and ashtrays which bear a trade mark of the hotel. Often, checking out from the room-number, lodgers aspire to take remote controls from TVs and a toilet paper. According to the British researchers, 19 % of lodgers have noted that they deeply hesitate for some period of time, but then they finally decide to take something from the room-number. Besides on the average about 2 million liters of the shampoo, offered to tourists in numbers of hotels disappears completely within the season. Interrogation of tourists has confirmed the following facts: 70 % of respondents have admitted that they always take away marching bottles with shampoo with them, 46 % of interrogated also take hair balm. Hotel portioned shower gel is taken away by 60 % of tourists. It is interesting, that 9 % of the men, who have answered the interrogation, have admitted that quite often they want to gets take tiny sewing set with several threads and one needle. 4 % of men necessarily take manicure set with them. Well and, certainly, the special attention is paid to the well-known Do Not Disturb cards. They are being taken away with 2 % of tourists. And the majority of tourists admit, that collects such tablets from all visited hotels.
Tourists manage to steal things not only from hotels. In Prague tourists have not deprived historical city centre of its roadway. “Sidewalk kleptomaniacs” pick out not usual plates, but very rare plates - the so-called “the cat’s heads”. Stones of the similar form can be met only in Prague.
In Norway German tourists steal traffic signs especially those that seem uninitiated amusing. The sign, warning of possible occurrence of elks on road enjoys wild popularity among German tourists. Every summer the Norwegian road services put hundreds of new signs (there are a lot of elks in the country) and each time no measures rescue them from disappearance.
No measures rescue Austrian small town Fucking. Mayor of city more than once addressed to tourists, mainly British, with the request to not steal indices. Last year the citizens of Fucking have even voted whether it is necessary to rename the city.

Heat in the Western Europe
Temperature anomalies are more often disturbing us, reminding of global warming. Weather reports became number 1 news in the Europe. Germans and Belgians had no time to forget about the abnormally warm winter as these weekend Europeans had to change clothes urgently in summer clothes.
The heat has suddenly come to the Western Europe. This year the beach season has unusually early opened here. The column of the thermometer in Germany, Belgium and even the Great Britain rises to a mark of plus thirty.
The only way out is to replace warm coats with swimming trunks and to go swimming. This dream of all children has unexpectedly become the reality in Germany. The wave of the African heat has reached the Western Europe these weekends. The unusually warm weather has brought corrective amendments into the week-end plans of millions inhabitants of the Old World.
The temperature, meanwhile, beats one record behind another. In France and Switzerland air has got already warmed up to plus 25 degrees. Weather forecasters promise, that in the nearest future, the temperature will reach the mark plus 30 degrees and even hotter. Now, the same weather is fixed only in tropical resorts of South Asia. The role of palm trees and sand beaches in the Europe is played by concrete quays and park lawns. It is practically impossible to find any empty seat there.
The beach season has opened even in the Great Britain. It is quite early to swim in the sea, but thousand inhabitants of Foggy Albion have gathered to sunbathe at native English coast.

Hi-tech room-numbers in Marriott hotels
The Marriott hotels network represents an exclusively new type of Plug-in room-numbers. The so-called “multimedia” room-number is equipped with the 32-inch LCD-screen, the adapter for connection to the notebook screen, mp3-player, video camera, hookup games and many other techniques. Such room-numbers have the only one, but very significant disadvantage: it is almost impossible to provide all visitors with enough usb-ports. But in fact there is nothing ideal - the authors of the project make a helpless gesture.
At the present moment “multimedia” room-number can be reserved only in the US hotels, however the hi-tech room-rooms are to appear in all hotels of the Marriot network in the nearest future. The approximate cost of residing at these room-numbers will be more expensive, than in standard Marriot room-numbers.

The highest skyscrapers
From year to year megacities compete in construction of “Babel towers”. For example, on March, 30th, “Tokyo Midtown” tower has been opened in the Japanese capital. An architectural masterpiece- 248 meters in height -is the highest building in Tokyo. In the new center tourists can not only do shopping and to eat tasty food in 130 shops and restaurants of the tower, but also (at desire) to lodge in it.
Canadian CN Tower, which height at present holds of 553,33 meters, occupies the first place in the world on height. If the weather is clear it is possible to observe Niagara Falls from the tower. The excursion on a tower is included almost into all trips rounds to Canada.
The second place is occupied by Taipei 101, which has not strongly lagged behind on metric area which has been opened in 2004 on Taiwan. Its height - 508 m. Presence of an observatory is the “highlight” of this complex.
The third place is occupied by the tourist skyscraper Skywalk, which has opened in 2005 in Sydney. The 268-meter tower can accept above no more than 30 people, but its other levels are accessible to all. At rise atop of clothes it is necessary to put on yellow-blue overalls a roof, and to keep for a special safety hand-rail. A special platform with the circular review of city is built on the top of the tower. And the tower has two transparent platforms. The new attraction is twice popular than the Sydney bridge is. The tower is extremely popular among tourists and the trip is quite expensive from 109 up to 139 Australian dollars (82-105 US dollars).
The fourth place is occupied by towers-twins in Kuala Lumpur. This architectural miracle reaches 452 meters in height.
Legendary towers-twins “Empire State Building” - 449 meters in height- is on the fifth place. However, the fifth position hardly will afflict the building which has become tourist Mecca. And before the construction of towers of the world shopping center “Empire State Building” was the highest building in New York. However, after their falling “Empire state Building” has again became the leader.
And till the end of 2007 the construction of a building of the World financial center in Shanghai, to which the palm tree of superiority among all skyscrapers will pass, is planned.

The museum of counterfeit goods in Germany
Recently, the first-ever museum of the forged goods has been opened in Solingen (Germany). In an exposition near to Original Armani jeans are skillfully adjoining to its counterfeited copy. The price of these “false Armani” jeans and sunglasses are really fantastic- just 20 and 10 euros accordingly.
The idea of creation of a museum of commodity fakes was born thirty years ago, when the well-known German industrial designer Rido Busse has visited fair in Frankfurt. The stand of a certain firm from Hong Kong, producing post carriages, has driven Rido’s attention. One of these carriages was the exact copy of those one, which Rido Busse had invented and had patented some years prior to this fair. Busse was deeply shocked with such rude plagiarism. After the fair, Busse has started to collect such fakes and to struggle with any forms of falsification.
This year Busse has realized the idea - has opened a museum “Plagiarius” on the basis of his own collection of industrial plagiarism. Busse has explained that the counterfeited goods (in the overwhelming majority) are made of materials more poor quality and museum’s exhibits - the original and a fake - are located by a number with each other, at one stand. It is practically impossible to distinguish the original from plagiarism. The largest part of the fakes, represented in a museum, is from the countries of East Asia. Manufacture of forged production causes the economy of Germany damage in tens billions euro annually. Finally, this leads to loss of 50 thousand workplaces.
Now, about 250 exhibits are presented in the museum. Clothes, footwear, home appliances, electronics are among the exponents. Fakes are not only the world brands, but these are also absolutely inexpensive marks, which are on sale in cheap German supermarkets. Even the experts hardly can distinguish a copy from the original.
