10 most “ethic” countries for vacations

Now tourism is the most developed industry on the planet, which brings more incomes, than oil branch. The Internet-portal EthicalTraveler.org has published the list of ten developing countries, the most worthy ranks of ethic destination.

Here is the list of criteria, on which the countries were chosen, these are the influence of tourists on environment protection, human rights and social security. In result of research of 70 countries it is chosen ten best. In alphabetic order it looks as follows:

New sea resort in Bulgaria

After entering amendments the government of Bulgaria has approved the plan for development of sea resort Tsarevo within the limits of which distribution of construction on territory of natural park Strandza is expected.
Despite of numerous protests of environment defenders, the board of experts from nature protection department has also coordinated the plan of construction. One voice against - from the representative of the most national parks, that the accepted plan will lower the area of park on 900 hectares. Developers prove that only 480 hectares of territory of park will be used.
The greatest claims to the project were shown concerning prospective construction on distance less than 150 m from coast of the river - now it is forbidden. Tsarevo inhabitants support idea of construction of a resort, including, that it will not cause harm to the nature, and will promote development of city as tourist region.

Reed toad threatens Australia

Reed toads, 24 centimeters long, with huge speed began to propagate on the territory of Australia, threatening local fauna. Since 2005 Australians have testified mass extinction of fresh-water crocodiles. Scientists blame for all poisonous aha, more known, as a reed toad.
According to two researches, lead in 2005 and 2007, mass extinction of crocodiles corresponds to territorial distribution of toads. The area of their distribution grows on fifty kilometers annually.
Disturbed aha, “shoots” into predator with the poison formed in its glands. Thus besides crocodiles the poisonous toad threatens dingo dogs and kangaroo, which eat it. The professors of Sydney University prove that mass extinction of crocodiles can change ecosystem.
Therefore the Government of Northern territory has declared competition for the best way of struggle against toads, and the deputy of federal parliament David Tolner has offered to kill them by cricket or golf sticks. The similar offer has caused indignation of defenders of the rights of the animals, who have offered to put sleeping toads in to fridge.

Fiji opens underwater hotel

Fans of diving will be especially glad to first-ever underwater hotel Poseidon, which will be soon opened at Fiji. Hotel Poseidon is a real underwater empire of luxury, where it is possible to live without cares. The hotel will settle down in the coral lagoon in the area of 20 square kilometers, which is not far from Fiji. In hotel with walls from acryl glasses there will be own coral reef and a bungalow for those, who doesn’t feel good under the water.
Besides in hotel the chapel (where enamored can contact marriage), library, some restaurants and shops are stipulated. Two lifts will deliver lodgers to depth of 12 meters, where they will meet with the glazed cabins, which design is reminding mini-submarines. Separate inhabited modules will be connected with a steel pipe to pedestrian crossings. The cost of stay in Poseidon includes transfer to the airport. Besides, the lodgers of underwater hotel will be offered own bathyscaphe Triton.

Turkish women are forbidden to use perfumes and to flirt with men

Turkish management on religion affairs (Diyanet Isleri Bakanligi, DIB) has undergone to the sharp criticism for clause about what should be sexual behavior of the local women, placed on a web-site of the given organization.
Among the recommendations resulted in clause, the special anger of the groups supporting the rights of women has been caused by following positions: the Woman, entering verbal contact with unfamiliar man, should speak so that she would not cause suspicions in heart of the man, and to keep with such gravity and advantage that the man would not manage to interpret her words falsity. Besides, women should not show their figure and not to use perfumes outside the dwelling as it is an attribute of immoral behavior.
At last, in clause it is spoken that men and women should not remain alone until they are married.

Oman wants to attract millions tourists annually

In 2007 650 thousand tourists has arrived to Oman and it is on 12 % more than parameters of 2006. Incomes of tourist sector have made $852 million. In 2009 Oman is going to accept one million tourists, who will bring from above $1 billion to the national economy. , on a plan of authorities, the golf-tourism will play important role in it.
Now in Oman there are some fields for golf, designed on the “truncated” variant - on 9 hollows. The full field for a golf includes 18 hollow and usually has the general extent from 4,5 up to 6,5 kilometers. By present time a little foreign investors have signed contracts on construction of magnificent resort hotels in Oman, which will have fields for golf - not only 18, but also 36 hollows.
Ten golf-resorts are already being in stage of development and planning. One of them, Muscat Golf Course, will be located in capital, Muscat. $400 million will be invested in realization of this project.
Authorities of Oman mark, that the country loses, for example, to the United Arab Emirates and, in particular, to Dubai, where tourist sector has been developing for many years and more liberal laws operate. But now time to change it has come, and Oman is ready to compete to Dubai.
At the same time, as experts mark, the airport of Muscat will not cope with growing tourist flow - at least in the near future. $300 million has been directed on its reconstruction, but works will not come to the end by 2010 as it has been planned. Besides, there are not so many convenient flights from the Europe to Oman.

New Zealand has headed one hundred of the best tourist directions of the world, and the Greek island Rhodes is recognized the most popular vacation spot in the Europe.
Despite of a present economic crisis, rise in price for fuel, concern of ecological situation in a number of corners of the world, from time to time arising chaos at the airports, the passion to travel does not die away. Tourism is still popular.

Winter has come to Southern Africa

This year winter has come to Southern Africa unusually early. Contrary to ordinary statements about “eternal heat in the countries of this continent, already today in Dragon Mountains on border from Lesotho the first snow has fallen.
According to meteorologists today the average temperature made about zero and in the central province of the country two people become the victims of snow storm. It is not excluded that the winter will start with snowfalls and low temperatures. The winter of the last year which, as well as is necessary in the Southern hemisphere, lasted from May till September, has stood out the most severe for long years.
Weather forecasters promise, that this year the winter can once again surpass all records. However, last months have brought a lot of climatic riddles: the season of rains has stood out extraordinary plentiful and has not come to the end till now, having tightened more than for a month against usual. Till last days the heat was also observed. As a result transition period from summer to the winter has occurred more than sharply - in one day at all without autumn.

Russian tourists have found new vacation spot

Indonesia has come on change to Cyprus, Turkey and Egypt. The number of the Russians, who are having a rest on Bali, grows year from a year.
For first two months 2008 13,4 thousand Russians have visited Bali. It is on 37 % more, than for the similar period of 2007 (9,8 thousand tourists). In general, in 2007, 36,9 thousand Russians have visited Bali and it is on 47 % more, than in 2006.
Tourists from Russia - are on the seventh place by quantity among the foreigners, who are having a rest at Bali. For first two months of 2008 294 thousand foreign tourists have visited Indonesian island.
Popularity of rest in Bali among Russians has reached already such high level that in 2008 consulate of Russia will be opened on the Island. Besides, authorities of Indonesia promised to promote the Russian cinematographers removing the films on islands.
While, interest to Indonesia(among Russians) continues to grow. Nevertheless, Russians prefer to spend their holidays in turkey and, as it has become known, in 2007 1,9 million Russians have visited this country.  Egypt (1,25 million) is on the second place in a rating of popularity.

Well-known company MGM Grand will open the first club under name Wet Republic, which will function only in the afternoon, in Las Vegas. It is intended first of all for glamour beach parties’ fans: Wet Republic will offer eight pools, including two sea water pools, VIP-bungalow pool, dancing pool, waterfalls, tropical bar and magnificent restaurants, and also SPA-interior. The club can be visited from 10.00 till 18.00.
As organizers prove, Wet Republic will enjoy huge popularity: many visitors of Las Vegas wish to have a good time twenty-four hours straight. Besides in club “star” concerts, show with participation of celebrities and incendiary parties under music of the best DJs will be held. In bungalow the visitors will be offered personal pools, huge telescreens, video shop, mini-bar and many other things. At restaurant visitors can try firm dishes - such, as lobster or papaya and crabs.
