Automatic metro in Paris
Parisian international Charles de Gaulle airport has offered automatic metro on which it will be possible to reach from one terminal to another one.
The new metro will replace buses. As local mass-media service informs, it will connect five stops - three terminals and two parkings. The average speed of new transport will make 70 kilometers per hour. The trip from the first up to terminal station will last for eight minutes. By the bus the same distance could be overcome for 25 minutes.
The movement of trains of the metro operates automatically.
The metro is calculated on transportation of 30 thousand passengers a day and it will be free-of-charge.
Construction of the metro is a part of the plan on increase in throughput of the airport. Its operation will approximately cost eight-ten millions euro a year.
