Stockholm buses will be equipped for bicyclists
Stockholm transport corporation (Storstockholms Lokaltrafik) will equip a number of buses with the equipment for bicycles transportation. The innovation will concern those routes, which connect the centre of Stockholm with the most popular suburbs.
Till now transportation of bicycles has been allowed only in city electric trains of Stockholm. Now there are new routes for bicyclists, where they can get on municipal transportation. These are Roslagen, Värmdö, Ekerö.
Transportation of the bicycle, fastened to fastenings on a back part of the bus, will not cost any additional money. In total it is planned to reorganize about 15 routes. As Storstockholms Lokaltrafik considers, works will be finished till the beginning of tourist season.
