New coral reefs have been found on Seychelles

Scientists from Essex University (Great Britain) have found out new coral reefs on Seychelles - in a southern part of island Curieuse. The island named by name of the trading ship, was discovered in 1768 and till now it was famous for the big colony of huge turtles - over 200 individuals - and dense thickets of tropical plants.
During research it was also found out, that coral reefs have appeared there some time before the tragic tsunami of 2004; coral reeves had time to suffer and be restored from it. Round reeves hare formed unique ecosystem, rich sea fauna, including tiger sharks.
Seychelles offer visitors unique possibilities for diving and are considered as the best diving-centre of Indian Ocean.
