Zero-star hotel
First-ever (as it has been declared) zero-star (or no star) hotel, called Null Stern Hotel, has been opened one of these days in small town Sevelen, which is in the Swiss canton Sankt-Gallen (St. Gallen). Here there are no separate room-numbers, and the general bathroom is transformed into a fountain with flowers.
Interiors are “decorated” with air lines, hanging down from a ceiling and cables, and filters. There are no TVs in the hotel, but there is one big screen on which the picture from the camera of external supervision “looking” at street is shown. In fact the hotel has no windows. And it is no wonder, if to consider, that this hotel is altered from the nuclear bunker, lying in several meters under the ground.
In case of extreme situation the underground hotel can be again transformed into the nuclear bunker (all military equipment is serviceable state), as the Swiss legislation requires.
Solemn opening of hotel took place on October, 9,: first visitors have tested the bunker in a new role. In general Null Stern Hotel is capable to accept 54 persons simultaneously.
Roman Zogg, the mayor of Sevelen, is convinced, that “Zero hotel” will have a success during carrying out large cultural actions or invasions of tourists-mountain skiers in the city.
