Legendary coffee house Savoy is opened in Brno
Legendary coffee house Savoy has been opened in Brno, on August, 29th.
Located at the corner of street Behounske and Jakubskeho square in Brno, coffee house has been closed in 1948. During 60 years different clothes and electronic goods shops were placed here.
Owners of building till last moment hid, that they were going to make with a historical premise there. Scale repair works have been for many months criticized by architectural monuments’ defenders.
Marble furnish of hall has been renewed, bar rack - restored, and the cracked stones used at furnish - replaced. And though new coffee house is a little bit smaller, it is very cozy.
Savoy Coffee house was well-known also for the gallery: during the intermilitary period artists have chosen this place. In a new coffee house there will be also a place for carrying out of exhibitions. The interior of two-storied hall with two bars will be also furnished with grand piano. Alive music, jazz concerts, performances of violinists and guitarists will make rest of visitors unforgettable.
Coffee house is opened every day, from 7.30. Here it is possible to order a breakfast; the menu offers a large choice of coffee and other drinks.
