European hotels reduce prices

European hotels have started to reduce prices for the summer period in order not to lose clients. Internet-site HotelConnect, rendering services of booking, marks, that about 50 % of hotels-partners have offered tariffs for accommodation in July and August on 10-15 % below usual prices.

Principal cause of outflow of the European tourists from Euro zone is caused by high cost of euro and pound and economic problems. More and more European tourists prefer to have a rest in the countries of the East Europe, Turkey and Egypt. So, the number of booked hotels in Budapest has grown on 33 %, in Krakow - on 20 %, and in Amsterdam and Rome it has fallen to 18 % and 12 % accordingly.

The pressure, rendered on the West-European market, compels hotels to try to reduce of the price in order not lose the remained tourists. Under experts’ forecasts, strengthening of euro in following year will cause a rise in prices on accommodation in hotels up to 15 %, but many hotels will try to be kept within the limits of 8 %.
