Free-of-charge Wi-Fi will appear in Madrid buses
Madrid transport company EMT is going to enter new service for passengers in city buses. They can shortly use free-of-charge access to the wireless Internet.
Points of access will be equipped on the most popular routes prior to the beginning of summer and if the project will be successful Wi-Fi will appear in all buses of city.
In order to take advantage of free-of-charge service, the passenger should enter the password or a code, which can be received in booths of sale of bus tickets.
The equipment of buses with wireless Internet is a part of the city program on transport technological development for 2008-2011. It provides transition to harmless fuel, creation of transportation conditions of handicapped people, activization of service e-bus, owing to which the passenger can learn an arrival time of the nearest bus, and many other things by means of sms-inquiry.
