Best underground of the world

At the international conference on underground Metro Rail Conference the underground of the Danish capital has been named the best one in the world.
Concerning the main reasons for the choice experts from New York, Tokyo, London and other cities with the developed system of the underground railway, have named stability, a high level of approval from passengers, a high level of safety and speed from which the new branch up to the airport has been put into operation.
Probably, the given factors have not mentioned, that the underground in Copenhagen has appeared just five years ago, unlike such developed undergrounds, as Singapore, London and Madrid.
According to recent interrogation on a level of passengers’ satisfaction, 98 % of citizens are quite satisfied or very happy with the services given by the Copenhagen underground. These are the highest parameters for all time of existence of the given underground.
The network of public transport of Copenhagen consists of the underground (Metro), a city electric train (S-tag) and buses. The system of tariffs, general for all types of transport, is based on division of city into zones. In buses it is necessary to pay to the driver, in the underground it is necessary to buy the ticket in cash department, and then to punch it in the yellow device placed on a platform.
The capital of Denmark has joined number of the world cities having the underground, in 2002. The first line of the Copenhagen underground in the extent of more than 20 km was opened by queen of Denmark.
Construction has been financed from sale of the ground areas, the apartment houses allocated under a construction, shops, offices of various firms and office buildings in again mastered within the frames of “green belt” parts of city.
After construction of a ring line of the underground, which is planned for 2018, using all existing advantages of available underground lines, Copenhagen citizens and visitors of the Danish capital will receive the effective and stable transport system connecting areas of city and enabling free movement, despite of weather conditions and transport stream in city.
