Water supply problems in India

India takes the second place in the world on a population after China. The quantity of people, living in this country, in 3,5 times exceeds the population of the USA, for example, while its territory makes only about 30 % of USA’s territory.
Constantly increasing population creates huge loading on all natural resources of the country. The majority of sources are polluted by sewage and agricultural drains.
Though for last years India also has reached progress, having given access to potable water to all population, but about 21 % of infectious diseases in the country arises because of unsafe water. Agricultural population of the country greatly suffers because of lack of pure water - only 14 % of these people have access to such civilization blessings as the water drain and water pipe.
