Slovakia waits for tourists at Christmas fairs
On November, 23rd in 15-th time Christmas fair, very popular among the townspeople and tourists, which will be prolonged till December, 23rd opens in Bratislava. Markets will be arranged at the Market and Franciscan areas in city centre. it will be possible to get souvenirs, to try a dish of national kitchen and local drinks at 106 booths. The visitors will be offered traditional Slovak flat cakes from the potato test with goose liver or cabbage, fried sausages, pork, duck, sauerkraut soup, bread with bacon and onions, meat and the fish dishes prepared in a grill, and also typical celebratory drinks: hot wine, honey wine, grog and punch. From a batch visitors can try strudels - apple, poppy, nut, cottage cheese; honey and gingerbreads. It will be forbidden to sell and to drink strong alcoholic drinks and beer.
At fairs it will be possible to get Christmas souvenirs - products from leather, glasses, ceramics, willow rods, a tree, leaves of corn, beeswax and other materials. The celebratory atmosphere will be created by actors, and also national handicraftsmen, who will show their skills.
Similar Christmases markets will be opened at all large cities of Slovakia.
