Hungary refuses fine coins
In March, 2008 one and two forints coins will be withdrawn from circulation in Hungary. As results of the interrogation, lead by the Hungarian National bank (Magyar Nemzeti Bank), show three quarters of the Hungarian citizens agree with such decision of authorities. So, 64 % of interrogated are not afraid, that withdrawal of a trifle somehow will affect their financial position, 11 % hope for positive changes and only one third considers, that it will improve a financial situation of banks.
When coins will be withdrawn from circulation, banks will establish special devices, which will count and sort coins. All interested persons can exchange a trifle, having received in exchange “running” denominations.
