In 2007 Bogota, Cartagena and Medellin became Mainstreams for foreign visitors. 40,9 % from the general number of tourists have come from Latin America and from the far abroad inflow of visitors increases. So, within the first 9 months of current year arrival of foreign tourists in the country only by air has increased on 14,2 %. From January till October 780 891 person have visited the country. The same parameter for the similar period of 2006 has made 684 089 people. For minister of Trade, the industry and tourism these figures grow out the transformations, allowed to change a sight at Colombia as on the dangerous country.

The purpose of the ministry to accept 4 million tourists by 2010 seems not so such fantastic, as several years ago. According to statistics of Service of economic researches of the ministry and department of administrative safety (DAS), 86 877 foreigners visited Colombia within September, having increased last year’s parameter on 8,75 %.
