Hemingway’s legendary Rolls-Royce will be sent at the auction



In the beginning of summer the most passionate fans of cars with history will gather in the USA, where annual international auction Auburn Spring MotorFair will be held. This time a subject, which many people would consider invaluable, becomes a star of the auction: Ernest Hemingway’s legendary Rolls-Royce will be sent at the auction.
Phantom II Short Coupled Saloon Rolls-Royce 1929 is the car, on which the well-known writer traveled across all America, when wrote such glorified stories as “A Farewell to Arms”, “The Fifth Column and the First Forty-Nine Stories” and “Death in the Afternoon”. The auction will be held from May, 31st till June, 4th in the park Kruse Auction Park in the city of Auburn.
According to the preliminary hearings, legendary “Rolls-Royce” is in an excellent condition, to what numerous awards, which it received during last twenty years, testify. For example, in 2006 on Amelia Island Concours and Pinmar it has received a title “the Best car of the post-war period”. The car has already had time to become the heroine of news and documentary films about the writer, and has been also “shooted” in a role of the experimental car named ” the Bang-bang, oh-oh-th” in popular same film of 1968.
Now Hemingway’s admirers have a unique opportunity to become the owner of “Rolls-Royce” with such tremendous history. Besides, the car which will be exposed on auction among others 2000 machines, can brag of special branch for storage of drinks, accessories to golf and the hunting equipment.
