In 2007 the world will be overflowed with storms and hurricanes
In 2007 the American scientists predict up to 17 tropical storms and hurricanes. The experts from the State University of state of Colorado and the company on studying weather and climate AccuWeather Inc approve that the probability of that even one of them will reach territory of the USA, is “much more above average”.
In their opinion, this year the world is threatened, at least, with 9 tropical storms and 5 large hurricanes.
Annually the USA suffers from some hurricanes, tornados and tropical storms. Every year in the United States from on the average nearby 70 people perish from the consequences of a tornado. Last hurricane in Kansas has taken away lives of 10 people and almost has entirely destroyed the town of Greensberg, Kansas.
Hurricane Katrina has fallen upon the American coast in September 2005 and has become one of the most terrible accidents of natural character in history of the USA. The number of victims of elements has made more than 1,5 thousand people.
Not only hurricanes and storms are capable to cause enormous damage and to lead to human victims. Forest fires also bear considerable threat. So, in American state Florida inhabitants of 200 houses are evacuated because of forest fire. Authorities of state of Georgia are also going to evacuate inhabitants of the territories adjoining on Florida.
In Florida the state of emergency is declared - after the total area of natural fires on border of two staffs has reached 52,6 thousand hectares. Distribution of fire is caused by a strong wind and droughty weather. Nevertheless, messages on victims have not come yet.
